Dr. Tiffany S. Chu is an Assistant Professor at Virginia Military Institute in the Department of International Studies and Political Science. Her research focuses on conflict processes, decisions taken by forced migrants, and government repression of marginalized societal actors. Her current research projects investigate the determinants of refugee return migration as well as decisions to flee or stay during armed conflict. Dr. Chu’s research is published or forthcoming in Research and Politics, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, Conflict Management and Peace Science, and Public Choice. She received her Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Arizona and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
