I am a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Toronto. I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Merced. My research sits broadly within political psychology and political behavior. I put a great deal of focus on research questions about how emotions and affective entities influence political attitudes and behavior. My dissertation examines what types of people experience anxiety over politics and how these differential experiences influence civic and information engagement. I have taught a range of political science classes at the University of California, Merced and Wellesley College including the presidency, political psychology, public opinion, and voting, campaigns, and elections.
