Biographical sketch and research interests

Aubree Hardesty specializes in American Politics and Public Policy at the University of Missouri. Her research interests include gender politics, race and ethnic politics, political behavior, political psychology, and campaigning. Her dissertation explores the extent to which candidates engage with stereotypes and the impact of that behavior on voter turnout and ballot choice. Additionally, Aubree is incredibly passionate about pedagogy. She has pursued a College Teaching Certificate, works to create fun and engaging lesson plans, and has previous experience as an instructor of record, discussion leader, and teaching assistant.
