Biographical sketch and research interests

I am a Ph.D. candidate of political science in the School of Government and Public Policy at the University of Arizona studying international relations and political methodology. My research focuses on conflict processes, decisions taken by forced migrants, and government repression and marginalization of societal actors. My dissertation project investigates refugee repatriation by examining conditions, such as violence and leader turnover in both the host and home countries, lead to return. The project also assesses how refugee repatriation influences political dynamics in their country of origin upon return. My work is forthcoming in Research and PoliticsJournal of Conflict Resolution, and Conflict Management and Peace Science.
