Biographical sketch and research interests

Leah is a Faculty Affiliate with the Institute for Intelligent Systems and an Instructor of Political Science at The University of Memphis. She is PI on a Minerva Initiative grant (FA9550-14-1-0308) that looks at language in authoritarian regimes, and her work broadly focuses on the causes and consequences of quality governance. She earned her undergraduate degree in Linguistics from Georgetown University and her Ph.D. in Political Science from The University of Mississippi.
