2018 – Ohio State University

Call for Proposals

The tenth meeting of the Visions in Methodology conference will be held at The Ohio State University on May 7-9, 2018. We welcome paper presentation proposals addressing or developing advanced quantitative methodology, including (but not limited to) econometrics, measurement, and causal inference. We equally welcome papers applying advanced quantitative methodology to substantive issues. While we welcome work in any stage of development, we are particularly interested in projects in the beginning or middle stages that would benefit from VIM’s workshop format.

Participants should plan to arrive in Columbus by Monday, May 7, 2018, at 5pm and depart the morning of May 10.

Women faculty at all ranks are encouraged to apply, though preference will be given to (a) those at earlier stages of their careers or (b) those for whom this would be their first or second VIM meeting. Any graduate students, postdocs, and junior assistant professors with accepted proposals will automatically be considered for travel funding support.

To apply, please submit an abstract of 100-150 words here. You will have to create an account and log in before the submission webpage will appear for you. If you have trouble creating an account, instructions are here. If you continue to have trouble, please email us at 2018@visionsinmethodology.org.

Submission Deadline: Monday, February 12, 2018, 2359 EST.
