Shawna K. Metzger is a lecturer in the University Scholars Programme, the multidisciplinary honors college at the National University of Singapore. Her substantive research examines how contextual factors affect countries’ behavior at the international level, primarily in terms of militarized conﬂict between countries. She also has research interests in quantitative methodology. Her primary interest pertains to duration models, particularly how we can use them to model political processes. Shawna also works with models that account for interdependence among outcomes and models that account for sample selection.
